Find the Freedom to Understand, Connect, and Heal from the Inside Out
My Approach
I show up for clients with compassion and curiosity in order to create a space in which, together, you can gain a deeper understanding of experiences you've had, challenges you face, and strengths you possess. It is my belief that the more we understand ourselves, the way our minds work, and the stories that dictate our experiences, the more empowered we are to live fully and authentically.
Chronic Pain and Illness
Chronic pain and illness can have a significant impact on the lives of those living with it. It can take a toll on mental and emotional wellbeing, relationships, and the way we feel about ourselves.
People often describe feeling frustrated with their body, unable to keep up with day to day tasks, or anxious for when they may feel unwell again. Interactions with the medical system and insurance companies can be exhausting and traumatic. Pain and illness can play a big part in our relationship dynamics; creating challenges with the people we care about most who want to help but don't seem to understand or know how.
I work with people who have just received a diagnosis as well as those who have been pushing through pain, fatigue, or other symptoms for years, and are finally feeling the weight of how these experiences have impacted them.
I also work with caregivers, partners, and family members who can benefit from an understanding space to process their experiences.

Therapy for Teens
Adolescence can be a challenging time for the whole family. It is a transitional time where teens are no longer children but not quite adults. Preparing for the future can be an overwhelming and scary task. Building a sense of identity while managing the expectations of family and social pressures may create difficulties at home or in school. Adolescents may also be struggling to build a sense of independence while fostering closeness and connection with loved ones
Understanding the unique developmental tasks and challenges for each teen is crucial in gaining an understanding of their problems and strengths. It is my belief that parents and family are an invaluable part of the treatment. It is always a goal of mine to strengthen those bonds and include parents in treatment as much as is possible while maintaining the trust and confidentiality of the teen.
Therapy can help teens and parents navigate all of these conflicts, build communication, and manage stress, anxiety, and depression.

Yes, the confidentiality of all communications between a client and a therapist is protected by law. A psychotherapist cannot tell anyone what you have discussed in therapy or even that you are in therapy without permission. There are scenarios in which confidentiality can be broken if there is a significant safety concern around abuse or neglect, self harm/suicide risk or harm to others.
